Abstract

Directed to future developers, this report presents a detailed approach to development of a cross-country ski area on the Washington Plateau, Vancouver Island. The cross-country ski trail development plan consists of 17 kilometers of ski trails with construction costs estimated at $8, 600.00. The cross-country ski market in western Canada is virtually untapped. This report recommends developers of Mt. Washington Ski Resort take advantage of this undiscovered market by integrating cross-country skiing into their total resort plan.
