Photocopies, hand written notes, and correspondence collected by Bill Merilees during his research into the ornithologists who contributed historically to our understanding of the myriad bird species located in the Kootenays. Mr. Merilees used this research collection to publish five articles on John Macoun, William Spreadborough, J.E.H. Kelso, W.B. Johnstone, and H.H. Currie.
