Abstract
End-of-life care is becoming more important due to Canada's ageing population. Currently less that 30% of Canadians who die receive end of life services. In response to this, Kalein Center in in the planning stages of opening a Hospice Day Program. It will utilize a palliative upstream approach for individuals and their loved ones who are living with chronic life limiting illnesses.
