The Bill Evans Memorial Trophy was up for grabs but no winner decided as two golfers were tied in a group of 49 seniors. Gilbert Fowler and Ray both shot low net scores of 33 and will decide the win- ner of the trophy in a playoff. Buzz MacDonald had the low gross score with a 43. Golf ball prizes for low net scores went to Norm Fishwick, Nick Oglow, Gerry Wichert, Bob Wadey, Curt Waterman, Jim Seg crey Andre La hh Sore Lasts and Gio Andes The Christina Lake Seniors Golf Club played host to a large contingent of senior golfers from the West Koote- nay for a tournament Sept. 5. Golfers were treated to a beautiful course on a beautiful day and to the exceptional hos- pitality of the Christina Lake crew. Oscar Johnson of Christina Lake shot a 75 to win the low gross event but it was Castle-, gar’s own George Crossley who stole the show with a hole-in-one on the third hole. Crossley found the cup on the par-three hole using a four iron from the tee. Frank Holdsworth of Castlegar was also a winner, shooting closest to the pin on the sixth hole.
