Street TALK THE NEWS’ ADVERTISING SALES ‘TEAM is now complete with new staff mem- bers Neal McKenna and Leeanna An- dreashuk on board. McKenna, 44, has been in the newspaper business for about 18 years, 11 of the Kootenays in 1976. Outside office hours, McKenna’s favorite pas- eee: times include spending time with his 15- year-old daughter, Tylar-Ann, and writing fiction. Some his most recent writing efforts have resulted in a short story which is soon to be published by Sequels, a Toronto-based magazine; a script for an episode of Star ‘Trek: The Next Generation being re- viewed by Paramount; and a comedy play under consideration bythe [J Arts Club in Vancouver. Andreashuk, 19, should be a familiar face around town as a Castlegar native. Together with her valu- able knowledge of the com- munity, Andreashuk brings to The News her knack for design — a talent she devel- oped in the Graphic Design program at Selkirk College and fine tuned while free- : lancing design services to a list of clients. Her other interests include writing, read- ing, photography, hiking and swimming.
