For the reception at the Hi §rrow Arms Motor Hotel in ‘astlegar, the bride's mother helped to receive guests wear- 1 and knife-pleated hodice and skirt. For jewelry she wore ame- thyst and gold drop earrings, and her corsage was comprised of coral sweetheart roses, The groom's mother was attired in a full-length tunic style gown in red,, comple- mented by a sheer over-dress in a red and white floral motif. A tiny gold zodiac pendant, as well as a corsage of white sweetheart roses tipped with red, completed her ensemble. Yellow, white and blue streamers and bells decorated the reception hall, while behind the head table, hung a large heart inscribed with the names of the bride and groom, The bride's cake centred a lace- covered table directly in front of the head table, its three tiers decorated with yellow roses. Its decorations had enhanced the wedding cake of the bride's parents, 25 years earlier. Each tier was separated by four white swans and the top layer held two doves holding silver wedding bands, under an arch of green and white leaves and flowers, Yellow and white tapers in erystal and silver holders, silver wine goblets, as well as the bouquets of the bridal party, completed the table decor. Mr. Blaine Weninger of Kelowna was master of cere- monies, reading congratulatory telegrams from Kenora and Red Lake, Ont. and Vancouver.
