CELGAR PULP COMPANY announced that non-
condensable gas would be vented into the
Castlegar area during the week of November 5,
1989.

It js unfortunate that Celgar Pulp Company did
have to spend $400,000 just prior to a major ex-
pansion to finally meet some of the environmen-
tal requirements. It is also unfortunate that
Celgar Pulp Company did not complete this
project until mandated to do so.

The employees and the public could have had
cleaner air if this project were completed years

ago.
