That is just one economic in-
dicator. Another is that 180 area
families make use of the Trail
Unemployed Action Centre's food
store. To put that in perspective,
that is almost equal to three-
quarters of the families in
Blueberry <reek.

the Clay Castle.
“It's a fairly significant part of our budget,” she said.
“We're fairly dependent on the United Way for funding.”

helps run not only Clay Castle — which provides
voeational training in making ceramics to 15 mentally
handicapped individuals — but assists with some of the
other KSH programs such as life skills training, a
proposed respite program for families with a handicapped
member, an advocate program and a summer recreation

Twin Rivers Elementary School, which is a program to
help handicapped children become integrated into classes
at Twin Rivers and Castlegar Primary School.
