with all objects in the room having been donated to the Heritage Society.

Also on display upstairs was part of a doll collection owned by Mrs. Alice
Dyck of Castlegar which included over 125 different dolls, Mrs. Dyck has been
collecting dolls since 1975 and now has more than 400 in her collection with
some being as many as 60 years old.

“I would like to congratulate those who saw that the building was not bull-
dozed,” said D’Arcy during his opening comments. “Momentos of our culture
including artifacts and photos will be coming in here for the next few years for
us.all to enjoy and the people who worked hard to get this building to where it
is deserve all the respect.”
