David is presently. in Grade 12 at Stanley Humphries Secondary School and’plans to : go into forestry after gradua- ition. He enjoys most sports, as well as hiking and hunting. David's hockey has all been played in Castlegar. He played in four provincial playoffs and in the summer of 1976 and 1977, he tried out for the Penticton Vees Junior A team. David feels this is a great way to end his Minor Hockey at home, with the guys that he Started out with in Mites. Pass Creek had chances to score in the early part of the game “but Tarrys’ perseverance gave them the victory. Robson and Kinnaird both displayed good play and neither team was able to score in the first half. However, Robson pressed Kinnaird throughout the latter half and gained a 2-0 win, This gave them a pass into the finals, Insemi-final action, Tarrys and Twin Rivers played an exciting game with both sides “having good scoring opportuni- ties. Twin Rivers showed their strength in the ability to boot the ball half the length of the field. Late in the final half, Tarrys was assessed a penalty and with a good kick, Twin Rivers scored the only goal of the game to lead them into the final. Robson and Twin Rivers both began the championship game cautiously. Twin Rivers + had the edge with their booting power, but Robson kept coming back, not quite completing potential scoring plays. ‘There was no score at half time and it seemed the game may be settled ina shoot-off.
