HOIST 18' HERE Connections Mado Between Winze and Le Rei Seventh Level. The 300-horsepower hoist for the Black Bear has arrived on the ground and will be set up as soon as the excavation of a chamber in the tunnel has been completed. The tunnel was driven 700 feet to a con- nection with the 350-foot level of the Le Roi, where a winze was then sunk 350 feet and connections made by a dritt with the seventh Le Roi level. A raise is being made from the eighth Le Roi level to connect with this winze. The main shaft of the Le Roi is now-down 900 feet, connections be- tween the eighth and ‘ninth levels having been made on Saturday.
