Castlegar Order of the Eastern
Star; held a very successful
Strawberry Tea and Bake Sale
on the lawn of Mrs. T. B. Couch,
on July 11.

Mrs. Couch received ‘the
guests, and Mrs. H. Johnson was
general convener. The tea tables
‘were very pretty; each one was
centred with a low vase of
sweet peas and pansies. The
serving table was covered with
actual lace cloth and a bowl of
sweet peas and shasta daisies.
Pouring for ‘the ‘first hour
was Mrs, J, Waldie and Mrs..C.
Saunders, and for the second
hour Mrs. D. Gilroy and Mrs. P.
Smibert. The tea tables were in
the charge of Mrs. H. Schellen-

table were Mrs, H. Adie, Mrs.
J. Sherbiko.' In charge of the
Heitehen were Levent Nick Oglow,

lucky winner twas Mrs. L. Grun-
erud, and the ticket was drawn
by Miss Patty Thring. The door
prize was won by Mrs, O. Suth-
erland and was drawn by Mrs.
