The proposed expansion would take place in two phases and more than double the size of the NEC building, from 3,900 square feet to 9,750 square feet. The first phase would cost $410,000 and the second phase $518,000. The study also calls for the construction of a tourist information centre separate from the NEC but located on NEC property. It would cost $60,000. Funding for the projects would come from all levels of government and the private sector.
