MLA Cedric Cox to run here in the next provinelal eelction “is entirely without foundation” Bet- ty Donaldson, secretary of this riding's CCF Association has ad. vised the Castlegar News. Burt Campbell reported in his “A Personal Column” on Dec, 17 that local CCF leaders were considering inviting Cox to run in Rossland-Trail following his headline-making Trail speech in which he spoke out against the proposed political tie-up between his party and organized labor. Cox’s own Burnaby execu- tive indicated that he may not receive the nomination again there because of his Trail out- burst and Campbell said “It's quite possible that he may de. cide to run_ here.” “Any CCF member who has been in’ good standing for one year is eligible to stand for no- miation as the CCF candidate,” says Mrs. Donaldsdn, “The CCF standardbearer will be chosen by all members in good standing by free vote at the CCF convention.
