Becoming the 22nd. B.C. centre in which-an aerie of the order is organized, Castlegar will have its institution ceremonies for its aerie as soon as a total of at least 100 members has been gained, J. A, Weaver, organizer for the Order announced. At Monday’s meeting, Mr. Wea- ver appointed C. H. King and F. Stefoniuk as temporary secretary and temporary chairman of the order, saying that officers will be appointed for-the balance of this term at the institution cere- monies. For next term, however, the new aerie will nominate and élect officers on its own. - The meeting also decided that the Castlegar aerie will be called the “Columbia Valley aerie of the Fraternal Order of Eagles.” An investigation committee to approve new applications for bership and a i and Institution Committee were also set up. Mr. Craft then called on G. Rilkoff, representing Columbia Builders of Castlegar, who were in charge of the construction. Mr. Rilkoff presented the keys of the school to Mrs, Romaine following which, Mr. Craft declared the school officially open. Following the ceremonies, the school board members, Inspector McKenzie.and Mrs. J. Kent, Deer Park representative of the school board, were guests of the Deer Park Women’s Institute at a grand luncheon. The party motored to Syringa Creek Friday morning § from where they arrived at Deer Park via the steamer “Mint®” For the return trip, Roy Coleman of Deer Park took the group by boat back to their cars at Syringa Creek.
