Lactin, 47, for- merly of Glade, and resident of Nelson, died suddenly Thurs- day. Services were held Friday and Saturday from Tarry's ceived his education in the Ootischenia district. He was a mechanic by trade. At the time of his passing he was employed at the Queen's Hotel in Nelson. -. Lactin was a member of the Union of Spiritual’ Com- munities of Christ. He is survived by his father, Nick M. Lactin, one sister, Mrs. Grace Chernoff of Glade; two nephews’ and two nieces. He was predeceased by his brother Paul i in June 1946 and his mother Annie in November of 1972. Burial took place in Ooti- schenia Cemetery with the Castlegar Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. ~ Palsson-Kirk Vows In an afternoon ceremony at the Court House in Rossland on Oct, 28, Joanne Patricia Kirk, daughter of Mr. and Mrs, Hubert Evans Kirk of Castle- gar became the bride of Roland Eric Palsson, son of Mr. and Mrs, Roland Harry Palsson of Castlegar. Given in marriage by her - father, the bride chose a floor- length gown of cream-color- crepe, enhanced by a cape of floral printed chiffon. Her bou- quet was of white and blue tinted mums and: carnations, with yellow rosebuds. Maid of honor, Valerie Palsson of Castlegar, was gowned in‘a cream-color mid- length jersey knit ensemble, featuring an empire waistline and V-neckline. Completing the wedding party was best man Mr. Phil Koochin of Castlegar. Blue and white flowers, streamers and bells decorated the Legion Hall in Castlegar for the reception. Helping -to re- ceive guests was the bride's mother, dressed ina long- sleeved gown of blue polyester with a band neckline, compli- mented by a corsage of blue and white mums and carnations, The bridegroom's mother chose a floor-length gown in dark floral print with white lace inserts, Her corsage was also of blue and white mums and carnations.
