She met Rick in the late 1960s and al ter he became certified he began teaching in 1972 From 1973 to 1977 the couple lived ‘on the Queen Charlotte Islands where Rick went to work as a school teacher He also taught swimming as part of the school curriculum and the couple returned to Castlegar each summer to teach swimming here In 1977 they moved to Barriere, B.C., where Patty ran the school swimming program. Marcos undergoes operation HONOLULU (Reuter) — Former Philippine president Ferdinand Marcos, who is listed in very critical condition with heart, jung and kidney failure, underwent a three-hour operation Tuesday to drain an abscess on his pancreas, a hospital spokesman said today.
