Observers from Victoria and Nelson will attend to see the groups put into practise what they learned in the class room, Castlegar Co-ordinator Ted Cowlin said he’ expects about 40 to take part in the exercise. The Castlegar area still re- quires volunteers with vans or full size station wagons that will handle stretchers for an emergency transportation unit. Born Aug. 22, 1918,- in Medicine Hat, Alta., Mr. Martin came with his parents to B.C.- and Syringa Creek when he was two-years-old. The family moved to Robson in 1928 and he has resided there since that time. Working for the B.C. Government, he was employed on the Castlegar Ferry for 30 years. He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. James R. Martin of Robson and one brother, A. J, (Bert} Martin of Fauquier. Rev.
