Yay erence aad Casthéijit News October 11, 1987 COMMUNITY NEWS Couple married in Newfoundland The mistress of ceremonies was the bride's aunt Eva Maidment of Grand Falls, Nfid. and the toast to the bride was given by the bride’s aunt Beulah Barron of Carbonear, Darline Denise Noseworthy, daughter of Margaret Noseworthy of Botwood, Newfoundland and Laurence Armand Berg, son of Mr. and Mrs. Armand Berg of Robson, were married July 18 in a candlelight ceremony at Trinity United Church in Botwood. Rev. J. Adams officiated. ‘The bride was given in marriage by her mother and the couple exchanged vows in a church decorated in baskets of mixed summer flowers. Mr. Wiseman sang the musical selections accompanied on the organ by Miss T. Wiseman. The bride wore a Victorian empire-style satin gown with train, lily point sleeves and 600 hand sewn pearis high- lighting the lace bodice. She wore a fingertip length headdress with a Juliet- style cap and an offset satin bow held in place with pearl spray. Her bouquet conristed of white roses trailing ivy centered with pink orchids. ‘The bride also wore an old lace hanky belonging to the groom's mother, a borrowed blue garter and new pearl earrings. The maid of honor was the bride's cousin, Paula Saunders of Point Leamington, Nfid., who carried a bouquet of white roses centered with a dark rose accent. Her floor-length gown was made of pink satin with a V-neck and short puff sleeves. She also wore pearls, a gift from the bride. The groom wore a pearl-grey tuxedo with tails, a white shirt, pink tie and cumberbund. The best man, Darcy Genest of Calgary, wore a pearl-grey tuxedo, a white shirt, pink tie and cumberbund. Their boutonnieres matched the bride's bouget. The reception was held at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch No. 6 in Botwood, Nfld.
