In response to a. fund- raising appeal, Robert Bate- man, famous Canadian wild- life artist, donated two auto- graphed prints “Trumpeter Swans” and “Magpie Pair” to the Valhalla Society. These two beautiful prints, remin- iscent of the Kootenays, are of limited edition. Currently, the Valhalla Society is ‘raffling these framed prints, valued at over $400 each to help offset a $4,000 debt. Tickets are on sale at various outlets in the Kootenays, including Camera Crafts in Trail, Framé Art in Nelson, Silverton General Store, and Valhalla Trading Post at New Denver. Les Weisbrich, a well- known nature artist who re- sides at New Denver has do- nated a watercolor of the Valhallas to the society.
