Synopsis of Referendum Bylaws 935 and 936
Blueberry & Area Fire Protection Service
(Portion of Electoral Area J)

The Board of the Regional District of Central Kootenay has
been requested to undertake a local service for the purpose of
providing fire prevention, suppression and assistance in the case
of emergencies for a portion of Electoral Area J (Blueberry and
Area).

The form of the Ballot shall be:

“Are you in favour of the Regional District of
Central Kootenay adopting Bylaw No. 935 and
Bylaw No. 936 to establish within a portion of
Electoral Area J a local service area for the
purpose of providing fire prevention, suppression
and assistance in the case of emergencies and to
authorize borrowing to a maximum of $140,000.00
for construction of a firehall and purchase of
equipment at a maximum annual cost of
$45,000.00 or $3.64/$1,000 of net taxable value
on land and improvements, whichever is greater?”

TAKE NOTICE THAT the above bylaws may be inspected at
the following locations:
RDCK Office 601 Vernon Street, Nelson, B.C.
Blueberry Creek Store Blueberry, B.C.
during normal working hours from the 24th day of August to the
11th day of September 1992 and that this synopsis is not intended
and not deemed to be an interpretation of the bylaws.

TAKE NOTICE THAT the above is a synopsis of Bylaw Nos.
935 and 936 upon which a vote of electors within a portion of
Electoral Area J will be taken at the Blueberry Creek Elementary
School on Saturday, September 12, 1992 between the hours of
eight (8) o'clock in the forenoon and eight (8) o'clock in the
afternoon and that Mrs. Vera Wenschlag has been appointed
Returning Officer for the purpose of taking and recording the vote
of electors.

Advance Poll

An Advance Poll shall be opened on Friday, September 4,
1992 between the hours of nine (9) o'clock in the forenoon and
four (4) o'clock in the afternoon local time at the following location:

for permitting duly qualified electors to vote, who shall sign a
statement that
a) they expect to be absent from the Regional District of
Central Kootenay on polling day; or
