Travaux publics Canada Voice of the People Critics Should View CASTLEGAR NEWS, Thursday, June 8, 1978 AY Editor, Castlegar News: I was very upset last week to read two letters running down a play “Screwtape" put on by the Omega Theatre Co. These students and the drama teacher put a few hundred hours and a lot of hard work into a production well worth your time to go and see. Now, all because of the name of this play, our children and our- selves (the parents) have no morals and don’t know what our children are up-to??? I, for one, am very proud of my daughter and the rest of the Omega Theatre Co. and their teacher, Mr. Beales, for a fine performance—well played and very entertaining. Critics for any production have to view a play before writing about it. I have yet to hear of any critic writing about something they did not even take the time to see. T will not defend the play, as it was written by an Anglican Theologian and left me with the feeling that unselfish love and understand- ing is what our life is all about. Mes. A. V.
