October 2, 1991 & IN MEMORY Vaughn Michael Brunton Vaughn Michael Brunton of Prince Rupert died acciden- tally at the pulp and paper mill there on Friday, Sept. 27, 1991, at age 27. Mr. Brunton was born in Prince Rupert but moved at age eight to Castlegar where he graduated from Stanley Humphries secondary school. He played hockey and baseball in Prince Rupert where he also coached a team. He is survived by his father and step-mother Douglas and Inga of Prince Rupert; mother Henrietta (Etta) and friend Fred Jones; sisters and brothers-in-law Shirley and Don Cotterhill of Castlegar, Brenda and Ken Sapriken of Spokane, Wash., and Donna and Duncan Robson of Castle- gar; brother Mark of Castlegar; uncles and aunts Bill and Rose Cormier of Vancouver, and Terry and Fran Cormier of Kenora, Ont.; aunt and uncle Florence and Walter Ursulak , of Castlegar; and Alice Le Couffe of Castlegar; five nieces; two nephews; and many cousins. There will be no funeral service. A memorial mass was held Tuesday, Oct. 1, at St. Rita's Catholic Church in Castlegar. Peter Semenoff Peter Semenoff of Castlegar died Tuesday, Sept. 24, 1991 at Mount St. Francis Hospital at age 82. Mr. Semenoff was born Dec. 18, 1908, at Brandon, Man., and came to Castlegar at an early age. He married Dora Ozeroff at Castlegar in 1927. During his life he worked as a carpenter in the construction trade throughout B.C. retiring in the 1970s. Mr. Semenoff was a member of the United Brotherhood | of Carpenters and Joiners and the USCC. After his retire- ment he enjoyed the outd pecially fishing and pan- ning for gold. He was predeceased by one son, Peter, seven broth- ers and one sister. . Funeral service was held at the Castlegar Funeral Chapel on Friday, Sept. 27, with burial at the Brilliant Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Castlegar Funeral Chapel.
