MOTORCYCLE COMPETITION RIDING: Castlegar-Robson has recently be- come the centre of a revived interest in motorcycle competition riding and motorcycling in general. Not since before the war has there been a Ganad- ian motorcycle club east of Kelowna or west of Calgary. An active and en— thusiastic club, the Lion's Head Rid- ers, affilliated with the Canadian Motorcycle Association, now has its headquarters in this district. It is hoped that with this club as a nucleus clubs in Trail and Nelson may eventu- ally grow as more riders in these centres become interested. Until such time as this is possible, it is plan- ned to enroll all interested riders from Trail and Nelson in our club. At present there are six members from Trail. Nelson is not yet represented, put with improved road conditions, it is hoped that riders from that centre will come out to our Tuesday evening meetings and our Sunday afternoon practice meetse The club plans include a track suit- able to Canadian Motorcycle Associa- tion specifications, thus permitting inter-club competition. It is hoped that the club will be able to assist in holiday sporte programs (Cont.P.4) K.L.
