The following years brought him his own television show and hundreds of appear- Mary Osmachenko, 43 Passes at Trail Hospital Prayer services began last evening from the chapel of the Castlegar Funeral Home with private interment service to take place this afternoon, for Mary Osmachenko of Pass Creek, who died Sunday at the age of 43 in the Trail Regional Hospital. She was born April 3, 1935 in Nelson and received her education in the Castlegar area. She resided in Vancouver from 1954 to 1971, returning to settle in Castlegar once again. Mr. Kalmakoff was born April 11, 1950 in Nelson. -He attended school in Castlegar, graduating from Stanley Hum- phries Secondary Schoo} in 1967. In 1968, he attended Selkirk College and the follow- ing year was employed in the language lab of the college, From 1970 to 1973, Mr. | Kalmakoff attended the Uni- * versity of British Columbia and in 1974, he was a student at the University of Moscow. He was a member of the Uae of Solita Communities of Cl Drier to his passing, he had been a patient of the Trail Regional Hospital. Surviving are his parents, Peter and Polly Kalmakoff of Shoreacres; two sisters, Mrs, Bob (Lorraine) Podovinikoff of ‘Slocan Park and Virginia, at home; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Peter W. Kalmakoff of Shoreacres; and great-grand- parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Holuboff of Raspberry Lodge. He was predeceased by a brother, Peter, in 1964, Burial will be at Shore- acres Cemetery with Castlegar Funeral Home in care of arrangements.
