The Arrow Lakes Archacolosical Project has been signific-
ant in increasing our. knowledze of lo cal prehi story through an
archaeological site inventory and through artifact retrieval
measures. Wany new sites were recorded during the course of field
surveys, indicating that aboriginal se ttlement of the Lakes area

was much more extensive than was origir nally expected. Artifacts
