Toys need guidance

for toys, not just movies and
television shows, says a Vic-

behave negatively in order to
make the toy “work.”

A clown that squeaks only
when it is hit hard is a prime
example, he said. Why not
have it laugh when -you give
it a gentle pat on the back?

But these “interactive
toys” can educate and rein-
force responsible behavior if
parents choose the toys wise-
ly and monitor playing hab-
its.
