There will be three games played this © week with the extra one being yesterday, On Friday morning four rinks paid the return visit of the season to the Trail Seniors Club. Good curling was enjoyed but the experience of the men from Trail prevailed and one tie was all our boys could salvage from the ice. However, in the social hour that followed we did manage to hold our end up and a good time was had by all. Saturday afternoon two rinks accepted an invitation from the West. Kootenay District AOTS and took part in their annual bonspiel in Trail. Those taking part were Pete Murphy, Jim Lipsett, , Bill Somerfield and Ed ’ Schulte; John Dalziel, Goerge Wilson, Bill Waldie and. Bob Hunter. This was a real fun spiel but the curling was good and keen. The two Castlegar rinks ended up with similar scores, two wins and one loss, Following the curling the men adjourned to Knox Hall where a really fine supper was enjoyed by everyone. Altogether this was a very successful day. It is proposed that the pensioners wind up the scason's efforts with a quiet social affair on Tuesday evening, March 26, Wives and friends will be invited to attend to see the prizes dished out to those lucky enough to have merited them, This won't be a bang-up affair bul il is hoped that we can all have some fun to wind up a very successful season.
