Torreson with 18 points Ied high school teams as Trail boys defeated Castlegar 46 to 9 ina game that was strictly Trail all the way. . By far the best player on the floor was W. Shute who defeated our locallads single handed with 19 points. Ladies’ Wear. These, books made by the girls show the Royal Couple’s tour in Canada and the United States. Also shown in these books are pictures of the Royal Family. Eileen Goresky was the winner of the senior class and Alice Beck the junior winner, for which they received gifts fron the local association. The other girls making books received a small gift from the captain. The scrap book made by Gail Seaton will travel to Girl Guide Companies in B. C. x Annual Meeting of St. John Ambulance- Association, Kinnaird Centre KINNAIRD. — The © annual meeting. of the St. John Ambul- ance Association of the local cen- tre was held recently. Mr, S. McKenzie, president, acted as chairman. A report was. given-of the centre’s activities for the last year ending December, 1951, by the Secretary.S. J. Jankola, There were 61 candidates that passed their. course gaining St. John awards. for senior. first . aid. Thirty-one juniors passed their junior course. successfully. ‘This was one of the largest. junior classes to be held in the Interior for quite some time. Green with nine members pres- ent. President, Mrs. M. Witten opened the meeting with prayers. Business discussion followed. Plans were made to hold a social meeting on February 11 at the home of Mrs. Green. The meet- ing closed with prayer after which refreshments were served by thé hostess, assisted by Mrs. G.
