Lamont outlined her role and responsibilities of this new posi- tion which utilizes 50 percent of her time. She is to provide sup- port through the district to teachers, teacher assistants and childcare workers who work with students that have special needs. The remaining. 50 per- cent of her time is spent as a Consulting Financial Counselling d Qoal Setting learning assistance teacher at the Twin Rivers Elementary School. Mr. David Hogg, principal of Stanley Humphries Secondary School gave the group a brief presentation of how well the support services for students with learning disabilities was at the secondary level. Hogg stated what he felt a lot of the students who have been identified as having a learning disability, would no longer be here in the senior grades without this kind of support A fundraising report was given by Laurie Anderson. The project of business calendars for the local businesses to purchase spots to advertise has been com- pleted and the calendars will be distributed during the month of December.
