Bouchard
and Gallo
celebrate

Dr. Jerry Gallo of Trail and
Arleen Bouchard. of Castlegar
were married Aug. 18, 1990, in a
ceremony held at St. Anthony's
Church in Trai

Arleen, daughter of Ed and
Annette Waywood of Castlegar,
was given away by her father
Jerry is the son of John and Irene
Gallo of Trail. Monisgnor Maglio
oft ited the ceremony.

The bride wore a Bonny Belle
wedding gown of ivory satin
adorned with pearls and sequins.
The dress was backless with a six:
foot, cathedral-style train. Her
headband was made of pearls
and flowers complete with a
three-quarter length ivory veil.
She completed her outfit with
pearl-drop earrings and her gran-
dmother’s handkerchief with gold
cross attached.

The bride carried a silk
bouquet of ivory orchids and red
satin roses.

The church was decorated with
white pew bows, candles, and red
and white gladiolas.

Arleen and Jerry had four at
tendants each as well as a flower
girl, a ring bearer and an alter
girl

The bride’s matron of honor
-was-her-sister, Gloria DaCosta of
Castlegar, and her bridesmaids
were her sister, Suzette Bouchard
of Castlegar best friend, Cheyen-
ne Nazaroff of Castlegar, and
sister of the groom, Teresa Gallof
of Trail

Jerry Gallo and Arieen Bouchard were married Aug. 18 in Trail.

Arleen’s niece and nephew,
Brittany and Dustin DaCosta,
were the flower girl and
ringbearer respectively, and her
sister, Holly Waywood, was the
alter girl

The attendants wore red satin
dresses with drop waists and bow
sleeves. The Bill Levekoff
originals were three-quarter
length in the front and longer in
the back. They carried lace fans
with accenting red and white silk
flowers and ribbons and wore
matching hair pieces.

John Gallo of Trail, brother of
the groom, was best man while
the groom’s other brother, Paul
Gallo of Kelowna, a cousin
Johnny Mondin of Calgary, and
Arleen’s brother, Rene Bouchard
of Winnipeg, attended as ushers.

The couple's music selection

included Joy of My Soul, The
Wedding March, and Wind
Beneath My Wings, which was
played during the signing of the
register.

The reception was held at
Colombo Lodge in Trail which
was decorated with red and white
balloons, streamers and bells.

Manuel and Maria DaCosta
made the three-tier ivory cake
with white accents of pillars and
angels. The cake was topped off
with a traditional bride and
groom heirloom piece.

Michael Mondin of Fruitvale
was the master of ceremonies and
Wayne Lambert of Laurier,
Man., Arleen’s uncle, gave a
toast to the bride.

The. couple honeymooned at
Panorama resort in Invermere
and are now residing in Genelle.

Perce rock, on the other hand, is a
huge formation that rises out of the
tidal flats. You can walk to it at low
tide, but its foundation is covered in
deep water when the tide is in. My
first sight of this phenomenon ex-
cited and deeply moved me. And I
asked myself why, it only a rock.
