New Games For the youngsters, the recreation department will be introducing the New Games concept from. 1:30 - 4 p.m. on Saturday. Activities will be -taking place in the Community Hall and parking lot of the Community Complex. All games are designed to promote par- ticipation, rather than com: petition. Highlighted will be the’ earth ball and Parachute, Fitness Exhibitio The ‘arena pus of the Community Complex is sched- uled to come alive from 1:30 - 4 p.m, on Saturday with display booths, information booths, de- monstrations, fitness testing and participation activities. Display booths will feature local and area sporting goods, golf equipment, health foods, trampolines, fitness films and commercial resorts, Information booths will + feature school displays, health awareness and health safety. Fitness testing will be featured through Action B.C. and the Canadian Home Fitness Test. Ongoing activities will fea- ture belly ‘dancing, weightlift- ing, rythmics, disco, ballroom and social dancing and nume- rous other activities, The exhibition is being designed’to highlight the whole philosophy of what a Fitness Festival is all about.
