Club is beginning to formulate
plans for four days of activity
during the Victoria Day week-
end:

+‘Activities will begin on the
eveing of May 19 with a
fashion show in the Bosun Hall
and: introduction of the 1978
May, Queen and princesses.

Three missionary couples

pective works at a three-day
missionary conference at Cal-
vary, Baptist Church starting
tomorrow evening.

Diane Dowden, 84, sued
her husband for divorce on the
grounds he made love to her
only;once a month. This made
her frustrated and tense, she

said.

But three judges of the
Appeal Court in London told
her this was not sufficient
reason for divorce.

Mrs. Dowden appealed
against dismissal of her suit by.
acounty court judge who ruled
that. sexual’relations only 12
times a year did not constitute
“unreasonable behavior” by her
40-year-old husband, Donald
Dowden.

A Days of Activities

Hot and cold booths will be
going all day, as well as the
various games of chance.

A free movie in the Bosun
Hall in the evening will wind up
the weekend of activities.

Missionary Couples
To Discuss Projects

session of their own with the
missionaries. s

Sunday School students
have been working on posters
depicting the theme, "What a
missionary means to me.”
These will be displayed
throughout the church during
the conference.

_ Last Saturday evening the
Okanagan Bible Institute's
“Rainbow of Love" musical
group presented an evening of
music at the church.

A “Music Request Night"
was held on Sunday evening.

who chaired the meeting, read
a letter of thanks from presi-
dent Bea Goetting to members
who helped with the tea.

Thirty students from Rob-
son, Kinnaird, Twin Rivers and
Blueberry Schools participated
in the annual School District
No. 9 Chess Tournament hosted
by Robson Elementary School
on April 8th.

Trophies were awarded for
each grade from Grade 8 to
Grade 7 in the double elimina-
tion tourney.

and sold it back to him, the
Tehran Journal reported re-
cently, :
After fruitless attempts at
tracing the lest donkey, the
report said, Jaafar, who lives in

went to the local cattle market
where he bought a black
donkey.

All was well, after a’

donkey were caught in a heavy
