CASTIEGAR PUBLIC LIBRARY TO OPEN APRIL 20TH

The regular monthly meeting of the Castlegar Public
Library Board was held Tuesday evening at the home of
Mrs. R. Whittaker with Mr. J.A. Charters in the chair
and members- Mrs. E. Hopland, Mrs. C.H. King, Wiss
Bloomer and Miss.J. Merlo present.

Mrs. King announced that the library roof is now
repaired so that plans for the re-opening were in order.
Work days were arranged for cataloguing the many new
books, arranging all the books on the shelves, poster
and sign painting dnd other details.

Friday, April 20th was decided upon as the opaning
date, highlighted with a tea, formal opening ceremony
and public inspection of the new library. Mrs. Len
Davis assisted by members of the Castlegar Library

representative to the Project. Society meeting of
April 10th.
