I've been able to read many
many books of late which may
well serve me when Lemerge fron
this valley of the long shadow
My inside garden is an exten
ton of the front room and con
tain the ‘Yemnants of my
once-thriving museum and zoo
Four budgies, a red-beaked jun
le parrot and two pocket mon
keys live in their respective cages
hung from the rafters, one tank of
fish is in the kitchen and three
turtles roam the inside garden

The dining room and kitchen
ind guest bathroom are all on the
tirst floor. The three bedrooms
und two bathrooms are on the sec
ond floor while I spend a good
part of my time on the third-floor
terrace washing clothes until we
have enough money to buy extras.

The view is all embracing,

flanked, and half a dozen other
volcanoes, some. of them, snow

Garrett Turta and Lucia Cardoso wed

On July 3, 1993, Lucia Cardoso
and Garrett Turta were united
together as one in the sacrament of
holy matrimony at St. Rita's
Catholic Church (Castlegar, B.C.)
with Father Herman E ngberink
performing the wedding ceremony

Lucia is the daughter of Arman
do and Maria Cardoso of Castle
gar, and Garrett is the son of Emmic
and Genevieve Turta of Castlegar

Escorted down the aisle with
her father and mother on either
side, the bride looked radiant in
her white satin gown. The bride's
gown, was of delicate beaded
pearls, pearl droplets, satin and
lace and featured a lovely lace
and hand beaded bodice with a
sweetheart neckline below a high
lace and beaded pearl droplet col
lar The sleeves, finely tapered to
the wrists, were also of pearl bed
ded lace and pearl droplets. The
back was of fine lace and pearl
droplets with a pearl bedded lace
bow nipped in the waist, giving
way to a long satin and lace scal
loped train. The pearl beaded
crown and veil with inset pearls
were the perfect addition to the
lovely bride

Lucia carried a fresh flower
bouquet of white roses with two
white orchids in the centre accent
ed by baby’s breath and greenery
along with trailing white pearls
and ribbon.

tuxedo with tails complimented by
a paisley black bowtie and cum

The maid of honour was
Lucia’s sister, Maria Bowen. The
bridesmaids were Sandy Cardoso.
Lourdes Cardoso (sisters of the
bride), and Heidi Mann (friend of

cousin)

brings her personal testimony as the foundation of her teac hing

As a result of a traumatic and devastating childhood, youth and
early adulthood, Dotti sought and received help from counselors
but found it was not enough to sustain her. She has leamed, and
will attest to the fact, that as she dedicated herself to God's Word,
healing came progressively over the years

Consequently, her greatest joy comes from instructing people in
how to study the Word, and how to use the Bible as a book of
Prayer and repentance in order that they too may walk in freedom,
victory and empowerment

grandchildren

She was predeceased by
her husband Wasil in 1975, 1
son Pete in 1972 and Step-

Son John in 1977
