Bob Brisco, Mr, Brisco said the money will more than double the dollar value of LIP grants to this area, bringing the total to $608,000 for the year. “Naturally, I'm pleased with the additional funding,” he ,sald, “More money means more jobs for people in Kéotenay West.” Mr, Brisco sald ‘he hasn't discussed the new allocation with Canada Manpower or the Constituency’ Advisory Group yet, “but I anticipate the addi- tlonal money will be used for LIP projects which are ap- proved earlier this year but didn’t receive full funding be- cause of financial restrictions on the program at that time. “We'll also have enough to finance some of the projects that were next in line on the approval Jlat.” He explained that the Con- atituency Advisory Group con- sists of 11 residents from Trail, Rossland, Nelson, Castlegar, Creston, Fruitvale, New!
