Mother Shows Concern Over Baby Soothers I recently received a letter from a friend and in it she told of a three-month-old baby who had choked to death on its soother. In this particular case the baby had managed to swallow the soother; apparent- ly this was set off by the extra long nipple. I immediately thought about one of the soothers I had bought for my baby. When he was about three months old he managed to suck the nipple part off the soother right out of the handle section! I then ‘bought a soother that was moulded all-in-one and Thad no further trouble, Please—all mothers of young ones, beware of the soothers you buy. After hearing about this terrible incident, I promptly dropped. my baby's soother in the garbage. If he'misses it bad enough, I'm sure he'll discover his thumb...
