Lung Associa- tion. Add Gears to Your Life is the theme of this year’s 200- kilometre ride, in which some 200 cyclists ride at their own pace over the scenic country roads of the Fraser Valley and northwestern Washington state. For each trekker, summer will focus on training for the ride and collecting donations to help meet the Trek 92 goal of raising $160,000 for medical research, health education and the association’s other ac- tivities in B.C. All participants must col- lect donations totalling at least $350 each before the trek. The more donations trekkers collect, the more in- centives they earn. More than 70 companies have donated products and services to Trek 92, and major sponsors include Air Canada, 7-Eleven, the Vancouver Courier, Norco, Robson Cy- cles, Rocky Mountaineer Rail- tours. The cyclists will enjoy a healthy, fun-filled weekend on the trek, and BCLA provides: meals, refreshments and snacks, overnight accommo- dation at Cultus Lake, trans- port of sleeping bags and oth- er personal gear, training tips, advice on fundraising, a safety information session, detailed maps and mechanical support on the road, a free-wrap-up party in early November and more. For registration informa- tion, contact Trek co-ordinator Janet Wadham at 731-4961, or toll-free outside the Lower Mainland at 1-800-665- LUNG. 312 COIL Mattresses TWIN” > _2PC.SET | QUEEN 2 PC.
