Photo Enthusiastic Concert Goers Attend Weekend Concerts Last weekend, audien- ces in Trail and Nelson en- thusiastically received what can be termed a unique ex- perience for concert goers; the combination of per- formances by professional soloists and a smail local choir and orchestra to make up a full two-part rogram. During the first half of the concert, the two profes- sional singers, Ingrid Sud- erman and Heather Ireland, : - presented a well-balanced and varied program of arias and duets from the works of Purcell, Haendel, Thom- as, Donizetti, Weber, Puc-; Mozart and Offenbach. : singers showed them- selves to be excellent solo- ists in the operatic arias. they sang and their voices blended beautifully in the duets, : Audiences particularly enjoyed such well-known E AB Be “Connais-tu le : ays" m Mignon, ant “Quando men vo" from La Boheme.
