Growing up in church and Sunday school, she mar- ried into a family of Italian traditions. In her first pregnancy she developed toxemia and high blood pressure. These grew to such serious proportidns that the time came when, al- though the baby was prema- ture, warned that mother and baby would both probably die if the baby was not delivered that day. While the family prayed at home, her husband support- ed her in hospital. Amaz- ingly, instead of rising even further, as would be ex- pected in childbirth, the blood pressure went down and remained normal throughout the seven hours of labor. Shortly afterward, she and her husband accepted Jesus into their hearts, and became born-again Christians. Mrs. Helen Stobbe sang songs of praise to celebrate the glory of Jesus. The songs were directly given to her by God, she said, in time of trials. She received great comfort from them then, and CHECK OUT OUR LEASE TO PURCHASE PRICES TODAY 1984 ACADIAN ; 1 ye Ase "1984 SUNBIRD ; 1 La Asem 1984 FIERO ZAG Four 1984 $-TRUCK -199% t option does so each time she shares them. Mrs. Bertha Pepper, mem- ber of the Area Board of Women's Aglow Fellowship, spoke on responding to God’s call. She shared from her own life, when she realized a need for God in her life. Mrs. Pepper shared of a time of feeling defeated and powerless in her Christian walk. She asked God for an immersion in His Spirit, through the baptism of the Holy Spirit, with the evi- dence in tongues, according to scripture. Approximately 11 years ago, Mrs. Pepper sensed a call of God to His work in the Women's Aglow Fellowship. She resisted, then asked for confirmation that this was indeed God's plan for her. She received His Word on it almost immediately: “God has called you and He will not fail you” - 1 Thess. 5:24. In Women's Aglow Fellow- ship, she said, there is no hierarchy. No one position is greater or more important than another, she added. Mrs. Pepper encouraged all that “The Lord of love is watching you. He sees what you are going through, and He will make a way, if you want Him to, and ask Him.” (submitted by Fran Cormier) man gave Mrs, Jessie Don- nan a few minutes to remind all present that the regional zone meeting is being hosted by this branch on April ,.and she urged as many members .
