Born March 7, 1907. in Winnipeg, Man., she received her education in Manitoba, attending the University of Manitoba on an Isbister schol- arship. She received her teach- ing diploma in 1928 and taught in Manitoba and Ontario schools prior to ‘taking up residence in Castlegar. Mrs. Simpson was on the staff of Stanley Humphries Secondary School, retiring in the early 1970s, She was a member of the . Anglican Church and ‘was ac- tive in St. David's Thrift Shop, where she indulged her. hobby of collecting, repairiig and making dolls. She is survived by one son, Irvine, of Alexandria, Ont.; two daughters, Mrs. Joan Miller of Richmond and Mrs. Bob (Amy- marie) Fornelli of Prince George; and two sisters, Mrs, Winnifred Saundersen .and Miss Catherine Smith, both of Winnipeg.
