Some mischievous boys set fire to the powder house belonging to the Great Western mine yesterday, which con- tained three boxes of giant powder. Strange to say, although every vestage of the powder was burned no explosion took place. ‘The door to the house, where the powder was kept was open and the fire was started inside. One party saw a boy take to the woods after the fire burst out. Some other buys who were near the place, rushed in regardless of the danger of an explosion and put out the fire.
