Following are some of the activities for the 1979-80 season: a) Get-Acquainted Night, Nov. 6 b) Curl Canada Clinic (12 ladies attended), ¢) Oglow Bonspiel, Nov. 24, 25. d) Senior Ladies' Dis- trict Playdowns. Jan. 25, 26, 27 (sponsored a luncheon for out-of-town curlers). e) Four Castlegar rinks entered Ladies’ Playdowns in Nelson. , f) Ladies’ Powderpuff Borspiel, Feb. 29, March 1 and 2, g) A “Fun” Curl with the Senior Men, March 26. h) Banas and annual meeting, Apr. 9. Molnar, Each lady recieved a. pin. ¢ Local swim ‘club holds registration Aquanaut Release Castlegar Aquanauts Swim Club has been formu- lating plans for its upcoming swim season. , The first event of the year will be registration this at the tive amateur swimming. ‘The swim season will get underway at the beginning of May with a week of dryland training. Popular coach Dan. Obetkoff will be back for a third year to lead the team to Complex between 10 a.m. - 12 noon and 1-3 p.m. The swim club is open to any swimmer who can complete one length of'the pool. Castlegar's Aquanauts have advanced to become one of the largest and another winning season. Hopefully, the pool will be open towards the middle of May and the swimmers will have a month of training to get into shape for the ‘first - swim meet in Nelson on June 21.
