Bingo every Wednesday MIKE MAKAYEV On Sunday, August 27th, 1995, Mike Makayev of Kamloops passed away after a courageous fight with cancer at the age of 62 years. Mike passed away peacefully at home with Carole, his wife and friend of 20 years by his side. Mike was predeceased by his father Mike Sr., his sister Laura and infant brother Paul. Mike was born in Brilliant, B.C. on April 27th, 1933. He worked for the Ministry of Highways for 38 years, retiring in 1991. Then, he and Carole worked together in the Sandwich Tree in the Thompson Park Mall. Mike Is survived by his wife Carole; four sons: Michael; Malcolm; Dennis (Heather); and Gregory; three step children: Crystal (Gary); Denise (Peter); and Daniel (Rene); and twelve grandchildren. He also leaves to cherish his memory his mother Annie; his sisters: Marie, Ann (Fred) and Doris and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He also leaves many friends from all over B.C., with whom he was privileged to work. The Reverend Joseph MacDonald conducted a Service of Remembrance in the Schoening Funeral Chapel, August 31st. Interment followed in Hillside Cemetery.
