CANADIAN POET JOHN — Obituary Nick Saprikin of Kamloops passed away suddenly on July 3, 1993 at the age of 72 years. Nick will be dearly missed by his fam- ily: daughter, Lorraine Saprikin of Kamloops; sons, Paul (Sharon), Ken (Ann), Rick (Mary) Hoodicoff, all of Kamloops; Len (Carol) Hoodicoff, of Cranbrook; Wayne Hoodicoff of Castlegar;. sisters, Ann Kalesnikoff and Mary Voykin, both of Castlegar, as well as dchi nieces and nephews. Interment was in the Glade Cemetery with Kamloops Funeral Home in care of the arrangements. Obituary | Paul Soobotin On Tuesday, July 6, 1993, Paul Soobotin of Krestova, B.C. Passed away at Kootenay Lake District Hospital at the age of 72 years, Funeral service was held at the Crescent Valley Hall on Wednes day and Thursday with burial at the Krestova Cemetery. Mr. Soobotin was born January 6, 1921 at Yorkton, Saskatchewan. In 1928 he moved with his family to Corelle, B.C and lived for a time at Drury finally settling in Crescent Valley in 1935. He married Annie Zarikoff at Krestova in 1940. During his life he worked as a faller in the woods and in the construction industry. Mr. Soobotin enjoyed fishing and Playing the accordion. He is survived by three daughters, Doris Chemoff, Katherine Salikin and Vera Jmaeff, all of Crescent Valley. He is also survived by six grandchildren and three great grandchildren; three brothers, Alex and Nick Soobotin of Blueberry, and John Soobotin of Genelle; and one sister, Patsy Nichvolodoff of Pass Creek He was predeceased by his parents, his wife Annie, and two granddaughters, Yvette Cheroff and Natalie Imaeff.
