Credit Party Association an-
nual general meeting was
held June. 27 in conjunction
with a steak fry at Birchbank

} Picnic grounds.

A new executive was elec-
ted to direct the association
for the coming year. Walter
Siemens, the Social Credit
candidate in the recent pro-
vincial election, was elected
president. Carl Price, who
was campaign manager for
the election, was installed as
the new vice-president.

Four new directors, elec-
ted for a two-year term, are,

_ Dorothy Bagg of Castlegar,

Allen Fairweather and Sid
Crockett of Genelle, and Eric
O'Dell of Trail.

Directors ‘with one year
remaining still to serve, are
Cal Hockley of Trail, Audrey
Hague of Fairview and Luc-
ien Campeau of Montrose.

A special guest, Melody
_ Harris, a field organizer from

office, spoke about future
plans for constituency asso-
cfations and liaison with the
head office.

She also congratulated the
campaign committee ‘for its
energy and enthusiasm as
well as it’s excellent organ-
ization. Harris further urged
attendance at the provincial
convention. Rossland-Trail
may send 25 voting delegates

to the convention, according

to a spokesman.

cial. party. He also gave a
membership report. The con-
stituency association current-
ly has 725 paid up members.
