Car theft is on the rise.
One motor vehicle is
stolen every 20 seconds,
22 percent of all thefts are
items taken from motor
vehicles, and another 15.6
percent are theft of motor
vehicle parts and acces-

sories such as Cassette and
CD players, CB radios and
cellular phones. However,

(NC) - People with disabili-
ties who live in small commu-
nities often have a difficult
time getting around. Many
don’t enjoy the kind of acces-
sible services that their big
city counter-parts have. In an
effort to make travel for per-

pickup and drop-off services,
can apply for funding to cover
the cost of purchasing new
vehicles or converting existing
ones. Grants of up to $50,000
are available.

mum of $20,000.
