Across the Ottawa river, in -the Hull, Que., armories, a school will open at the same time as Parliament gets under way, as a central staff college for the training of key civ- filian defence planners from all parts of Canada. Later, Federal schools for the training of instructors will be opend in other parts of the country. These men in turn will teach civil defence, "from rescue work to how to deal with gas ‘and atom bomb attack, to civil - defence workers in: their home centres. The key "students" will hear lectures from some of the eight Canadiana who are returning Jan. 24 from a civil defence planning course in-Britain.
