COLUMBUS, OHIO (AP)
— No one has to tell Bob
Heisler it’s tough to sell a
house these days. He's offer-
ing a reward to anyone who
can help sell his. i

Heisler wants to return to
California. He and his wife
put their house on the mar-
ket in May.

Since then, they’ve had a
lot of lookers but no takers.
So Heisler has taken his
problem to the streets of
Columbus with photocopied
signs offering a reward to
anyone who can help find a
buyer. . -

In big block letters the
signs say “$500 reward. Send
a buyer for our house by
December 31, 1981.” Heisler
said he put up about 25 signs
downtown and at the nearby
Franklin University campus. ©

He is asking $65,900 for the
three-bedroom, two-berth
house, which he says has

federal agency will halt tests

of a heart drug because it al- _we cre in appliance sales as a

is half way through its final
year. The study apparently
indicates that many who sur-
vive heart attacks should be
given the drug to prevent

learned that the National
Heart, Lung and Blood Insti-
tute, which sponsored the
study, decided it would be
unethical to further withhold
the drug from the 2,100 pa-
tients in an experimental
group receiving only place- ,
bos, which are inert pills. »

Another 2,100 patients, in
the experiments have! bee:
getting the drug three'times;
a day — and the study shows
heart attack deaths among
them are lower.

The drug blocks nerve
endings that regulate the
strength and frequency of
heart muscle contractions.
Researchers do not know
how it may prevent heart
attacks but think it may work
by reducing the heart’s work

load.

has been under way at 31
medical centres in the United
States and Canada.
