Stephen Lloyd Coffin, of
Sidney on Vancouver Island
and Idriss Lynn Roberts of
Sidney were married Aug. 22
at St. Andrew's church in
Trail.

The bride is the daughter
of George and Helen Roberts
of Castlegar and the groom is
the son of Lloyd and Shirley
Coffin of Osoyoos.

The bride and groom ex-
changed vows in front of Rev.
David Rolfe. Organist Pat
Cross played Joyful Joyful
for the procession into the
church and a medley of
hymns for the signing of the
register.

The bride was given in
tharriage by her father. She
wore a floor-length Edward-
ian gown with a taffeta
underlay. The gown had
flowered lace applique with
pearls.

‘The sleeves were long and
puffed at the shoulders. The

headdress was heart-shaped
with a waist-length veil and
pearl drops. She wore dia-
mond earrings, a gift from
her parents.

large purple elegance mums,
baby’s breath, ivy, and a
mauve ribbon.

A friend of the bride,
Angie Wishlow of Robson,
was the maid of honor. Sister
of the groom, Sandra Coffin
of Port Moody, was the
bridesmaid. They wore cock-
tail-length mauve silk
dresses with white flowers.
They each wore rhinestone
necklaces and earrings which
were gifts from the bride.

Best man was Jay Page of
Vancouver a friend of the
com. The ushers were:
friend of the groom, Peter

swans and white bells.

The mother of the bride
wore a cocktail-length tur-
quoise silk dress while the
mother of the groom wore a
cocktail-length dress of ivory
silk brocade.

A friend of the bride's
family, Dorothy Martini of
Castlegar, was mistress of
ceremonies. The toast to the
bride was given by the

groom's brother, Scott Cof-
fin.

Telegrams and cards were
received from Toronto, Nova
Scotia, and Edmonton. Out-
of-town guests attending the
wedding were from Edmon-
ton, Vancouver, Rossland,
Trail and Fruitvale.

‘The newlyweds took their
honeymoon trip to Kootenay
Lake and are now residing in
Sidney.
